Rob says: Not very much known about this lot of coffee, but it was too good to let it go. KIGANDA is mostly known as a banana variety, that grows plenty in the region of Kirinyaga. The Kiganda variety is well-known as a cooking banana, known for its faster maturity, resistance to diseases and less dependence on props.
When visiting Kenyan coffee farms I always try to stop at the small food stalls besides the road to buy some mango’s, papaya’s or eventually pineapples. Once you tried Kenya’s very juicy and flavor packed fruit at origin your views on tropical fruit will never be the same again.
