Almost a year ago, for our 20th anniversary, we decided to celebrate by launching a new range of coffee in vibrant pink bags, aptly named Miss XX. The beans inside change every 4 to 8 weeks, offering a clean natural processed coffee, perfectly roasted for both filter or espresso brewing.
Throughout this inaugural year, we introduced more experimental natural processed coffees into our lineup. These were meticulously roasted and packaged in red (for filter) or gray (for espresso) bags. However, we noticed that some people found it challenging to understand what Filter Fil and Super Nova stood for in terms of taste and use, mainly because the processing of the beans significantly influences the flavor.
To simplify the process and help our customers find the right coffee for their taste buds without the need to read the full info card text or ask for specialized barista help, we decided to package our Special Processing and Experimental coffees in the pink Miss XX bags, but with an additional label called 'Funky Stuff.'
"Funky" stands for "fermenty" or "not so common" flavors. This labeling system will guide you to your perfect coffee experience.
This doesn't mean that our baristas or roasters can't tell you more about the coffee and its taste. Please keep on asking us all of your coffee questions, and let us guide you through the jungle we call Specialty Coffee, as there are so many different types of beans out there.
