Congo North Kivu D.R. Congo Lot 49
Burundi Kayanza MARURI

The first one is truly unique because it’s a Congolese one. We know since a while that the Kivu area is giving the right soil and weather conditions to grow good coffee. Unfortunately there was not a good logistics and administative back up to export those beauties, until now.
More interesting than the data is the project behind the coffee, from which the profits go to a female organisation that supports women in the local coffee production in North Kivu Congo.
Second coffee is also a fully washed one and has been growing close to the Rwanda border as well, but on the Burundese side, and is named after the co op that’s exporting a lot of Specialty coffee in that part of the country. The variety here is Bourbon and it’s the perfect bean to finish the Burundi 2015/16 season!
