“My parents began growing coffee about 30 years ago. Before that, our family had a very low income, but once we started getting better harvests, coffee gave us the opportunity for a better life,”Rosendo explains.
Rosendo has tirelessly worked the land, battling early issues with PH levels in the soil leading to his trees failing to grow. He takes advantage of the native shade trees on the farm which add nitrogen and organic matter into the soil.
